Section 66. Dealer to declare details of bank accounts (1) Every dealer, who is liable to pay tax shall send a declaration in such form, within such period and to such authority as may be prescribed, stating therein the particulars of the Bank accounts operated by him in connection with his business and shall within the period prescribed, intimate to the authority the changes in the particulars in the declaration. “(2) If the dealer fails to intimate to the authority the changes in the particulars in the declaration referred to sub-section (1), the Commissioner may, after giving an opportunity of being heard to such dealer, by order in writing, impose a penalty of a sum not exceeding rupees ten thousand . |
